Empower Youth Africa in partnership with UN WOMEN, IOM and peace partners in GPAA with funding support from UN Peace Building Fund developed Community Roadmap action Plan for Greater Pibor Administrative Area. The document was developed in form of group discussions, brainstorming sessions, and sharing of experiences from the participants. Development stage took three consecutive days (11th - 13th June 2025), the document was developed jointly with Peace Commission, Peace building fund Partners and all other peace actorΓÇÖ operating in Greater Pibor Administrative Area, the event targeted Participants from State Government Ministries, community leaders, youth and women leaders and participants from five Payams (Thangajon, Kavachoch, Lenyeriz, Akilo, and Manyirany) of Pibor County.
The document aims to engage the Community Leaders, Women, and Youth groups in dialogue to identify key priority areas for the affected Communities in Greater Pibor Administrative Area; develop Climate-informed peace building Roadmaps and Action Plans driven by Community needs. The document will also engage community in peace and climate change processes, contribute to the formulation and implementation at the community level, enhance equality and social inclusion, recognize the vital roles play in shaping GPAA trajectory, promote economic development, livelihoods, gender and climate change adaptation and identify and prioritize the critical needs of the GPAA communities. The action plan will serve as tools to help government, community, development partners and CSOs to priorities GPAA needs and we appreciate the confidence you have shown in our work and capabilities. EYA team promised to contribute effectively to the success of the roadmap and action plan by providing insights, recommendations, and support throughout the process.
