Empower Youth Africa is a South Sudanese youth-led NNGO founded in 2017 by displacement-affected youth and registered in 2018 (RRC 1282). We work in agriculture, climate, livelihoods, women and youth economic empowerment, skills, peace, education, protection, health and water, and talent.

He has extensive experience in managing multi-sectoral programs involving livelihoods, youth and women empowerment, peacebuilding, community resilience, and local institutional strengthening.

Mr. James is an experienced Programs Manager with over James has over 17 years of experience in humanitarian, development, and peacebuilding programming in South Sudan and Kenya. He holds a Master of Arts in Development and Emergency Practice from Oxford Brookes University, UK (2021) and a Master of Arts in Public Policy Analysis from the University of Juba (2026). He has extensive experience in project cycle management, food security and livelihoods, community-driven development, agriculture, gender equality, resilience, Cash-for-Work, community mobilization, and partnership management. During his tenure with Oxfam GB, he provided technical and managerial leadership to large-scale livelihoods and Cash-for-Work interventions, including management of field teams and WFP-funded programming in Jonglei State. He also has practical experience in community-based training, GALS, stakeholder engagement, monitoring, and donor reporting.
